Description
Another face of ice – during a few days in Svalbard I had the opportunity to see and photograph many stages of the transformation of seawater into ice. The deep blues contrast beautifully with the whiteness of the ice floes and the soft tones of sunlight on the mountains in the background. Unfortunately, even in this Arctic region, sea ice is rapidly disappearing and it is becoming increasingly rare for the sea to freeze on this side of the archipelago.
