Description
Eye-catching green plumage and a recognizable voice are the main characteristics of one of Australia’s forest birds. This individual took a liking to the trees around our lodge and not only let us know of his presence with his distinctive calls, but also provided us with opportunities to take photographs. The lower levels of the forest are typically shaded, but at the same time here and there contrasting rays of light flash through the canopy or a clear sky shines through. I deliberately used these spots to create a more interesting background than the uniform green forest wall.
