Description

The snow on the hills in the background may confuse you, but I took this photo in the last days of summer. At this time of year it often rains in Svalbard, but the first snowfalls can also occur. For the reindeer, this means the nearing end of easily accessible grazing, so they usually try to make the most of it. Adult males, however, begin to show signs of nervousness as the upcoming rut which begins in fall. They often walk around their herd, nervously watching for unwelcome competition in the area. This was the case with this stag, which climbed a hillock to observe the surroundings for a while.

Prints are usually delivered within 9 business days, but may take longer depending on where you live or if unforeseen circumstances arise.
